Environmental Manager
Location: Central NJ
Primary Purpose: Develops, implements, and maintains procedures and programs to minimize environmental risks and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements by performing the following duties:
Take “hand-on” responsibility for ensuring compliance of the facility with all applicable environmental regulations and requirements, including timely reporting and forward-looking proactive compliance. Work with plant manager, engineering manager, production manager and general manager toward environmental compliance of all production systems. Prepare Title V air permit renewal applications, NSR and PSD reviews. Submit Title V air permit modifications as needed in a timely manner. Prepare annual emission statements for submittal. Submit NJDEP radioactive materials license renewal. Maintain site laboratory certification for pH measurements. Maintain professional certifications and ensure staff maintains professional certifications. Manage stack emission testing, specify and evaluate CEMS. Prepare and implement Environmental Work instructions in accordance with corporate environmental procedures, initiate and implement daily self-audit checklist and interface with regulatory agencies. Ensure facility compliance with RCRA and NJDEP waste regulations.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) from four-year college or university in environmental science, biology or related field, plus five or more year’s related experience and/or training.
Other Skills & Abilities: Ability to write routine reports and correspondence, to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Ability to define problems collects data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
